First of all, I know similar topics have been posted before but they are all outdated (3 years ago) and things have changed.
I am a keyboard player and would like to add some vocals to my recordings (in other words, I'm not crazy about vocal mic specs). I know there are tons of great high priced mics out there, but I'm not looking for professional recordings, just simple clear home recordings I do for fun.
Should I go for a low end condenser? (M-Audio Nova, Behringer B1, Samson C03, Audio-Technica AT2020 :: All for 99$USD) What do you guys think of these mics? And which would you chose? Or can you suggest another at the price range?
Or should I get a Shure SM57 (apparently very popular dynamic mic :: 89$USD)
I was going to get the shure until I went online and saw a bunch of 100$ priced condensers so I was wondering if these will sound better than your average dynamic mic.
The other thing I would like to do is record some acoustic guitar bits. Would this eliminate dynamic mics? Does anyone record acoustic guitar with dynamics?
Again, I'm not looking for outstanding performance because I know you get what you pay for. All I want is the best mic I can get for 100$USD.

The best mic? Don't know, but the best all 'around' mic is the 57.. by leaps and bounds. Can be used successfully for pretty much anything, and is the 'go-to' mic in studios for recording rock guitar. Just don't get one of the Chinese knock-offs. Get a real Shure.
