Thanks Neil. Hell, I guess I just don't know how to use them ;-)
I seem to recall that you use Nuendo (I use Sequoia)--is it just a matter of plugging a reverb into a surround bus in your case? When I try that, I only get sound from a couple of the channels, and I'm sure the point isn't to insert a different instance on each channel.
I'm worried that the bussing structure isn't compatible--any ideas? Any experience w/ these in Samp or other hosts?
I'm not trying to be vague, but this is the first time I've ever had problems inserting a plug (boy, that doesn't sound good!).
Thanks, CAA

I'm running this bundle in Nuendo with no trouble at all, and all works exactly as it should do.
For example, if you need to use the reverb, create a dedicated channel, either an FX channel or a group channel (I use groups as it allows more flexible routing options, but that is a personal choice) as a 5.1 channel. This is important. Then you must set the routing of the effect channel's output to where it has to go - if an FX channel, then you can route it to the main 5.1 output buss.
The tricky part can be sending the signal to the effect. Once your reverb is set up - and to go with the reverb analogy in this bundle, there are several versions of it so be careful - you need to go to the track you are effecting and set the send to go to the 5.1 reverb. If you click on the drop-down menu above the FX send list in the channel, you get an option to show the send routing. In a mono track sending to a 5.1 FX track, it will follow the panning of the track you are effecting, if you get my meaning. This can be turned off (RTM) and adjusted independantly. This can then let you bring up a surround panner for the FX send.
The bussing structure in Nuendo is incredibly flexible, and works with Waves 360.
I think that you should brush up on the setup of 5.1 effects though. It is covered in the manual quite well. Once you have done that you should be a little clearer, and please post back if there are still things you can't get sorted. It dos work!

There is a list of the multitrack hosts that support multichannel plugins, like the Wave 360 here : http://acousmodules.free.fr/hosts.htm And if you can read French : http://multiphonie.free.fr/logiciels_tableau.htm
Samplitude / Sequoia have no multichannel busses like Nuendo or Podium, and have no possibility to share multichannel plugins between stereo busses like Tracktion / Reaper or Protools LE.

Thanks for the info. That answers my question. Not what I wanted to hear, but I can work within another host if I need to.... CAA
