Hey guys, after some checking I decided to go with the above mentioned unit, in the 8 channel version. I felt that would cover the need for some of the location work and will be able to cut at the rate I've been wanting to work at for awhile (96k). Yes, it'll go to 192k, but from things I heard, you're really cuttin' hairs and the necessary disc space....
Anyway, just wanted to see if any of you have had the chance to use one of these units yet?
Besides, it adds a post to our skinny little forum we all love!
See ya' 'round

I'm using the RME AD1-8 DS myself, but Lynx have a superb reputation for serious quality audio - so you've got a good 'un there IMHO.

192?
To my mind it is a waste of disc space, but if the client wants it, then the client gets it - and so far it's been a big "No Thanks" here. Lots more 96KHz these days, stacks & stacks of 48, but nothing at all at 192 has ever crossed my path as yet.

I use the Aurora 8. Don't have a ton of converter experience, but recently had some stuff mastered. I preferred the Aurora to the Crane Song Hedd that the ME used. And not just on my stuff--we listened to some commercial releases as well.

You'll dig 'em, but it kinda' depends on what you were using before. I was on Delta 1010s, so it's pretty drastic ;-)
