Yes, and Depeche Mode is releasing most of their albums on SA-CD with a multichannel mix. The Euro version apparently is SA-CD Hybrid with a separate DVD-V, but the US release will be a CD/DVD-V release, with the surround mix in DTS...
Not to mention the Moody Blues set, Talking Heads, Morph the Cat, etc.

Don't even SPEAK to me about the DM releases. I don't want the SACD, yet am being forced to buy the ****ing things to get the 24/96 DTS versions. Would be much happier with the CD/DVD package, as Hybrid SACD still have this nasty spindle hole cracking problem, and the more you play them the worse it gets. One of the very few SACD I ever bought has now started doing this, and Sony will not replace it - their argument is that this is known, I should be aware of it, and tough. Typical. Yet to get the DVD versions, I am being forced to boost SACD's garbage!
As far as the Moody Blues go, again - SACD, again I am not interested. However - if you want to mail me doug, I have some news for you.....

I just picked up all three of Depeche Mode's US releases, Speak and Spell, Music for the Masses, and Violator. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I'm jammin' out to Strange Love right now on my Dyn's. First thing I did was fire up the M&K's downstairs in the family room and listen to Violator from beginning to end. Fu#@$ng amazing!!!! To get to hear such a timeless album in 5.1, remixed, and remastered, what a treat. The 5.1 mix is just great. Kevin Paul did a fantatsic job on these surround mixes. They are tactfully tricky, and never too surprising. Great use of all of the channels, good vocals anchored to the center channel and spread a little to the mains. There are also beautiful delays throughout, and the reverb use in the surrounds is perfect. Surround Sound rules. We all know this. I heard so many things I don't remember from these albums when they came out. You gotta love the 5.1 spread for opening up the mix. Nice work to all involved with this project. I highly recommend these albums to any Depeche Mode fans. I'm all giddy over it ;-)
Now, if we could only get some Kraftwerk and Orbital remixed in 5.1 ;-) Maybe some LFO Frequencies. Yes!
Cheers,

Going slightly OT Neil, what's the issue with SACD holes?
And Eric, apparently Orbital's The Altogether has been released in 5.1 although I think it's only PAL region 2 DVD-V.

SOme of the SACD discs exhibit a crack coming from the hole in the middle of the disc. The more you play it, the worse it gets.....
