Since there is essentially no Surround Professional magazine anymore, what does this specifically say about the future of this forum?

I already asked that in the *Forum News* thread -- Click here .
That is good news!

I personally don't see any problems with the forums. We seem to get a steady trickle of posts and people here, and Surround is here to stay. I firmly believe we should continue with it.

Luckily, Max Sidman thinks so, as well. I expect we'll see more volume here, in the coming months. Maybe, I'm being optimistic...

I hope we do. One of the really sad things I have noticed is an explosion in what we call "Rhinophonic 5.1", where the result has been obtained by simply whacking a stereo track through either a TC 6000, Lexicon 960 or worse still direct through a ProLogic II decoder and called "5.1 Surround".
Yeech.

HA! That's funny. Is it called that because Rhino Home Entertainment does this often? I do work for them (surround menus & sound FX) and, yes, this is a common practice. What a drag.

I wonder if that is similar to printing 2 mono tracks, but one 180 degrees out of phase... A cheap way to fire the rear channels (all-be-it hard).
