Madly, deeply.......I am a Mark Knopfler fan. Searching for that sound keeps various pickup companies picking my pockets constantly.

One of my favorite songs by him btw. Yes indeed......has influenced a lot of Strat players since the early 70's. He also has made another great mark almost as famous and folks don't associate him with it.........Gibson ES 335!!!! (Lay....Lah, got me on my knees!)

Nobody does strat tones better than David Gilmour, but the pedal array he uses to get that done is extensive. That guy (thread starter) also was using a good bunch of pedals too. (not that pedals are a bad thing)(especially since I use a bunch meeself)
