Here is a blues lyric of woe for you - 01/15/13 02:04 PM

This is a true story of woe which happened to me this morning.

I wore up this mornin, the coldest day of the year,
The heater was busted, and no fixer was near,
I borrowed some space heaters, so I could live in the house,
While Jaycox AC/heater fixer was coming. I huddled inside like a chilly church mouse.

Tomorrow is coming when it will be fixed,
Tomorrow afternoon $575 will fly out the house.

2 neighbors lent me box heaters so I won't freeze.

Woeful guitar solo to come when the shed is heated again...... grin

Sending warm thoughts your waym DBM.

Blessings on the helpful neighbors.

When the heat comes back on, and you play that solo, don't let it be a blistering solo. Or else you'll have to wear oven mitts like someone else on this here forum.

(Without apologies)

There's a cold house over yonder, that's where desertbluesman stays.
There's a cold house over yonder, baby, that's where desertbluesman stays.
Nobody been over to see desertbluesman in about ninety nine and one half days,
His home's a freezer.

Woke up chilly, something's wrong.
There's frost upon the floor.
Woke up chilly, baby, something's wrong.
There's frost upon the floor. .
He got a bad, bad feeling that his heater won't blow hot no more.

He might as well go on back down,
Go back 'cross yonder over the hill.
He might as well go back over yonder
Way back yonder 'cross the hill, (That's where I come from)
'Cos if his heater don't warm him no more.
He know some girls who will...

Dannyalcatraz, that is hilarious amigo,

Any more nice lyrics on this, I may just pinch them (and give you credits, no money will ever come of it, but at least I won't steal your stuff for any reason without giving credit where credit is due).

Thanks Danzilla. The house is nice and toasty as of right now 2 of the 4 heaters are running on low, and they are holding the temp steady at 72 or so.

Great! I bet you'd find inspiration given the same equipment malfunctions during an Ottawa winter!

Bravo dbm, bravo! Keep a close eye on yonder heaters though, check the plug/outlet for excessive heat which indicates a loose connection.

Hey Man,

I'm curious. Are you laying this down over a Delta vibe, A Chicago vibe or a jazz-blues uptown vibe?

The name of the tune is: It's hard to play the blues with cold fingers...Hope you get that heater fixed and write a song that will help you keep warm.

You could do this with all SORTS of blues classics:

Well I'm out here freezin';
Icebox holdin' my clothes.
Yeah I'm out here freezin';
Icebox holdin' my clothes.
I'd tap out the rhythm;
But I can't seem to feel my toes!
