Mr Darling
Hi All, When we finished our album we were approached by an independent record label. They loved it, and it was supposed to be simultaneously released through out Europe. A few month before the album release the label was bought by a major label. Since then we have heard it all ,CD sells are down because : People download MP3 CDr are so cheap and everybody copy cds The war, no ones by cds anymore. Not even in Belgium... Is this real or did we just luck out with a broke label that doesn't know how to sell our music. ? When did all this music depression end? Any advice on what should we do? -- ------------------ Visit http://www.DarlingNikkie.com/sounds To discober the sounds of "Darling Nikkie". All songs from debut album available on line... Alndln
It's probably true to some degree, but the majors have been playing that song for 30 years or probably longer. It's usually a ploy to get you to give up pratically all your publishing, and act like theyr'e doing you a huge favor by signing you at all. It's either that or thery'e just not interested or all three. They were saying the same exact things during the oil crisis in the seventies which turned out to be all fiction and no fact.
