This qroup thin-skinned? The way we throw insults around like rice at a wedding (talk about struggling for a metaphor), I find that hard to believe.

I just reread through that thread...it's pretty funny. I didn't see the part where anyone got upset, though - did I miss something?

...unless you meant Chris100 (Job) making noise about the sequenced parts...I'm still not sure that he was actually pissed...

Hey!!! I'm offended...

Well...

Not really.

But I should be!

"Upright player offenses

That's funnier than I'm sure most of you realize.

Sometimes we sit there for two pages before we get to play our single 8 bar long note.

LOL! Sounds like we can't win for losing. I have a couple for the keyboard list... Ah nevermind. You guys can do it all with your left hand anyway.

Well, I was being a bit sarcastic. Even if Chris was upset, I think it's pretty silly to be upset at a thread like this...

Actually, what I think got me started on this thread was a similar thread in the bass forum at the time, if memory serves right. Weird. :freak:

I never did this, but heard this from a bass player ... if you ever really want to piss off an acoustic bass player, place a coin inside the bass just before he goes on stage. I can also imagine a sardine if left in long enough would also work some magic.

I have never done this, but have only heard the stories.

No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message.

In general, harmonic complexity is inversely proportional to the ratio between chording and non-chording instruments.

Oh... that would be sooooo mean!!

Our bass player always has to doodle around on his bass when I tell him we're now 'live'. (i.e. unmuted) Since he's direct it's the only time he can hear himself. However, it kinda takes away from the impact we have on our very first note we play.

Just a infraction I think worthy of a fine....

Rick
