These guys:

have played together

For FIFTY years

There was an AP article about them yesterday. LINK

So what's their secret?

Quote:
They remain neighbors, of a sort: Each band member lives on the Kansas side of the Kansas City suburbs. But offstage, they remain at arm's length. Each drive's separately to shows.

"We're not pals," Fletcher said. "We're co-workers. We show up, we play and we go home."
Oh, and they don't have a bass player: \:D

Maybe that's their secret.

The bands that I have been in that are easiest to work with have been the same type of deal.

Originally they did have a bass player but he left when they started touring because they couldn't fit his 8x10 in the van along with the piano.

I'm playing in a band with no website, facebook, myspace or demo but still getting gigs?
How does that work then?
