Don Henley is the vocalist.
It's under 100 bpm...proably closer to 90 bpm.
The kick drum and rhythm gtr have this pattern (units are 16ths, divisions are beats):
| x x _ _ | _ _ x x | _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ |
No chord changes in the verse.
It begins with a dual talkboxed guitar melody...sort of a slow wailing sound. The motif is repeated through some of the verses.
Anyone know the title of this song?

My guess would be "Those Shoes", from The Long Run.
Beastie Boys sampled it (among other things) for High Plains Drifter.

Joe Walsh gets to Box his Voice silly. I've been bugging...no... begging my group to do this tune. I think it would go over good with the Eagle fan masses. I think it a great powerful song.

I've always considered that to be my favorite Eagles song. Which is saying something - even though I don't own any Eagles albums they still wrote a lot of good songs.

EAGLES!! Actually, my Eagles tribute band Life in the Fast Lane is competing in a Bay Area radio contest. Provided we're among the finalists announced tomorrow, go vote for us! It'll be in the Last Band Standing section of kfox.com. And yes, we play "Those Shoes." Great stuff....

w2f, I was in a band in the 70s that did "Out Of Control" from that time. Great tune in the feel of Already Gone.
Those Shoes is a cool tune. So is Pretty Maids and Victim Of Love.
