c3po
Does any one have any idea what the external sync connector on the back of this unit is for? Not to get confused as there are 2 connectors, one is the slaveclock in at 256 /and the one in question is the external sync connector, it has a switch that offers a 256 or 1 times sync option. I was once told by a digidesign tech that you could hook up a housesync/blackburst signal to it and it would resolve itself to that signal but I'd like to know for sure. If anyone has an answer to this question it would be very welcome as I have been searching for the answer ever since I've owned this unit. The manual is useless, as all it specifies is what I've already asked above and nothing more.
Danny M
I'm going to have to go out on a limb, and say that the information I can find about the SMPTE Slave Driver indicates that External Sync refers to a wordclock (1X)/ superclock (256X) switchable input. To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as a 256X blackburst generator. Please take this with a grain of salt... -Danny ------------------ Less is not more. More is more.
