No joke people, I couldn't sleep so I set up two of my basses. Geez I'm obsessed.

You guys do anything musical when you can't sleep?

Not unless you count what happens on the john as "musical" \:D

You can get some interesting tone out of porcelain.

I usually get out of bed and go and play my bass! I'll noodle around for a while and then settle into some hypnotic groove which seems far more effective than counting sheep. For instance a couple of nights ago I ended playing Stratus by Billy Cobham (also Safe From Harm by Massive Attack) ad infinitum (but I never seem to be able to completely cop the awesome tone and feel).

Sometimes I like to play, sometimes I like to listen.

Most often I read a certain on-line bulletin board....

Tom, you can come out of the closet now. You can go stop by The Dudepit during daylight hours if you want. No need to do it in secret any longer. \:D

Personally I pretty much never have trouble sleeping. The question is moot for me. If I stay up late, though, I'll sometimes be up because I'm enjoying some private time with a 4-string or 5-string.
