Hey hey again, I may have mentioned before I have a Kent semi-acoustic bass (hollow body with F holes but not upright) that I've converted fretless and want to work on it more.

Anywho, I've got me some monAY now and want to give it new pickups, since the current ones are on their 30 year old way out. I want to put at least one Jazz pickup on it but also want to put a piezo pickup on. Unless anyone thinks the systems used on URB would work near the bridge of this bass as opposed to piezo's. Also, once I've decided on the pickup setup, anybody got any recommendations?
Thanks for the help!

If it is what I imagine (f-hole archtop ABG with a floating bridge?? -- a wooden bridge that rests on, but it not connected to the top of the body), I'd put a Big Twin on it - http://www.urbbob.com/pu1.html

I'd stick a transducer between the bridge feet and the body-- but I don't know if that's what you have. If not, email me off-list with details and I'll try to help.

Not sure what you mean by archtop, but it is an F-hole ABG with a floating bridge. The base of the bridge is all wood and connects to a metal frame with the saddles that raise and lower on two screws on the frame and move back and forth on individual screws.

I'd also like a little info about the transducer you mentioned. Thanks for the help. \:D
