[Doctor Frankensteinway]

Standing in the evening autumn sunlight, as long golden rays of light lit up the grass football field my dogs played on. The dogs had followed me there while I rode my bicycle. We had total freedom to take any path we wanted. We had total freedom to stay in the park as long as we wanted. Nobody told us that we could not throw sticks in the sunshine. When I got home, I played the guitar for a little bit, not playing anything in particular. My heart is too consumed by the events of the last days to make music. The point is nobody tells me what music to play. Nobody tells me what to do, what to think or what to believe. I am free to think and do whatever I want. It is all about freedom now, and the attempts of those that want to take away our freedoms. Everything is at risk. Our freedom to make the music we musicians make. Our freedom to say anything we believe, here, at this website. Our freedom to believe in what we alone, as individuals, decide to believe in. This is now all about those that want to control us, control everyone of us no matter what country we live in. Yes, it is that cut and dry now. Relatives of mine served in World War Two. They served for freedom, they knew what it was about. They knew that liberty was on the line. Today we know that liberty is again on the line. Canadian, American, British, German, French, Japanese, Belgian, Scandanavian, Mexican. Whomever you are, where ever you are. Whatever you believe in is at stake. It is that simple.
