I found a post on the studio tech forum that any bass player might find really cool for practice or recording!!! Search for Naked Drums or check out their site at
http://www.multiloops.com Last week I downloaded the mac 37MB demo.Thank goodness for a fast connection!!
As a bass player I've found the content of the demo very useful, it took just a little while to figure out how to de-select edit groups to change the mix. Since I'm running PT Free, I'd bounce to disk and then cut, paste, duplicate the stereo pair so I could record bass, guitar, lead, etc in a new session. It's amazing how many different feels you can give to the same
grove! It's also real nice to have a more ambient drum sound than I've experienced with a drum machine, although I haven't played with one since about '82. Anyway, I'm real close to buying the 2 CD set for $99 instead of trying to resurect my ancient drum kit and need more mics, mixer, and most of all chops. Here's a link to a little ditty I spent about a half hour on. It's about a meg (128K mp3)... I'm also anxious to see other styles!!!
Thanks multiloop!
