I have just purchased a used Crown 800 MCS Power Amp and in the manual it says that the amp can be run in parallel mono for approx.620 W @ 4 Ohms. I have an Eden 2X12 XLT that I just bought (great cab for fenders by the way) and it runs 400W @ 4 Ohms. Is this a better option than running the 420W from one side or should I bridge mono though it only rates down to 8 Ohms in this config.?
Does the increased amperage of parallel mono make a difference audibly and, more importantly could it wreck my brand new cab?
