Quick advice needed... I was offered to buy a Walter Woods amp head, early 80's model, for $950. I have to give an answer by tonight. Is it a good price?

Well, that depends on how much power it has. The extreme high power models go for around $2,000 new, so if it's a 700-1000 watt model in good shape, you're probably doing okay. I'd still talk them down, early 80's is a long time ago. I'd think $700-$800 is more like it.

Thanks Ed - I took your advice, it was the 100 watt model and I decided not to buy.

Smart move, $950 for a 100 watt model from the early 80's is definitely a "bend over" deal.
