saxofunk
While at a music shop, just moments ago, I witnessed a dealer doing his dog & pony show for the store reps. He had a good selection Indie brand basses and guitars on hand, but since it was his show I didn't grab any of them to play or look for country of origin, etc. He had one bass, a 6 string with natural finish and a layered body and some grain to the top. The electric g*****s were all Les Paul copies, some with gimmicky tops. He also had some acoustics. The natural finish on the bass and acoustic appeared to be a very flat/matte finish. Here's the indieguitars website, I think, but can't manage to get everything on it to show. Part of the dealer's pitch was that these are competing directly against Gibson in Europe, and and superior in quality, price, blah blah blah. Funny, the same could be said of a lot of brands. So, I just wanted to babble about and see if anyone else has seen these, or played them. - Matt W.

saxofunk
Here's a different Indie guitar link that worked better. Still, it doesn't show any basses, and I can tell that the inlay in the headstock is different. The ones I saw only said "Indie." Another point I overheard from the salespitch is that they offer customer spec'd inlays, like names on the freatboard, etc, at reasonable cost for that one-off custom vibe. Aha, here its in the "contact us" page: "Our manufacturing facilities are in South Korea. Two factories specialising in Guitars, Amps & Accessories." And they're based in Berkshire UK. - Matt W. Afro_Man
I picked up a guitar and they're so heavy bloomin' 'eck! some have that mod vibe and some have indie vibe, not heard much about them.
