Edendude
Just added Billy Preston's 'Will It Go Round In Circles' to our band's rep. He does a killer version of it live on one of Clapton's newer concert DVDs. Man I dig the groove in that song! Played it the other night at our regular house band gig, and we brought the house down. g.
I'm listening to music where whales provide a lot of the bass parts, with nary a Fender to be seen or heard: various Paul Winter stuff. That could eventually lead me to works by Oregon and Paul McCandless. .
St_Genesius
I'm really in love with that Outkast single "Hey Ya." I know it's being overplayed, but since I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV, it still feels very fresh to me. Great groove. For sale: 1992 or 1993 Carvin LB20F fretless 4-string with lines. jeremy c
Softly, As in a Morning Sunrise music bySigmund Romberg, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. I've been playing this song a lot in various groups and can't seem to get it out of my head. And last night I heard the 1977 John Scofield Live version featuring Sco, Richie Beirach, Joe La Barbera, and George Mraz on bass. Incredible. Free download of my cd!.
