Good idea, Hansh. I was never able to get into Harmony Central from work, but was able to from a link to the OJ that Wewus posted. Now, I'm able to get in any time, don't know if that link reset something or what.

Don't you need administrator privileges to get into the Proxy Server option? Apparently it didn't work for Funk Jazz, so I'd say that's why. Not all companies or government servers are set up the same way.

I can get to the HC home page. However, the HC forums link is filtered out for me at work. If there is no work around that would suck.

I wonder if you can't copy the link into URL's that are allowed in Windows Security? The Network security might block it anyway, but if you can get to the home page, maybe copying the actual link from home and emailing it to yourself at work will allow you to cut and paste it into URL's allowed in your security setup. Might be worth a shot.

Lee:
I wonder if the URL screening is only for the DNS Server. By putting in the actual IP address, that would do it if its set up that way. Good one.

No go on any of them. And I'd better stop trying, supposedly all of these attempts are being logged, I've never heard of anything coming of it, but I'm clocking up a lot of attempts to access banned pages. It's a serious pain being emlpoyed by fascists who actually expect me to work for my pay, but unfortunately, that is the situation

Quote: ---------------------------------------------- It's a serious pain being emlpoyed by fascists who actually expect me to work for my pay, but unfortunately, that is the situation. ---------------------------------------------- Some of the places I worked said it was OK to cruise the web over our lunch period if we were sitting at our desks brown bagging. They asked us to stay off porn sites because they're loaded with viruses; and asked us to limit our browsing to lunch time because that was OUR time, not company time. They knew it was hard to resist using their high speed connection for the web, so it was a nice compromise. Then we weren't wasting company time trying to figure out how to get around any filtering. The whole situation worked well.
