Datsame
I'm just starting to get into playing fretless and I've been looking around for one. I don't want to spend too much (AUS$600 and under). I have seen an Ashton fretless and I tried it out through a Fenber Bassman at the shop and to me it sounded pretty good. I was just wondering if anybody out there has ever heard of the brand Ashton and whether they are a good buy or will I be regretting it later. Also if there are any alternatives under AUS$600 could you please let me know. Thanks in advance. "I'd like to have an argument" "Ah yes indeed, is that the full half hour or just five minutes?" ick
Ashton make good stuff for beginners their stuff is very cheap and aimed at the bottom end of the market Yamaha make a fretless in their RBX range which is probably around $400-$500 you should check out all the manufacturers websites and see who makes what you are looking for and go to as many shops as possible just buy what feels best
