Karl Sutton
My EV-5 stopped working and when I removed the cover I see that the black wire attached to the metal bottom is no longer attached to anything else in the pedal - not too obvious to me where it should go, does anyone know? Thanks! Quote Yamaha P22 Upright / Nord Stage 2 SW73
mate stubb
If it was attached at the metal chassis it has to be a ground wire. Should connect to the jack ground or the ground lug of the pot. Quote Moe ---
Karl Sutton
Well soldered it back on & the pedal still doesn't work, what is a good replacement? I didn't mind the EV-5 but wished it was a little smoother for organ Quote Yamaha P22 Upright / Nord Stage 2 SW73
Fuzzy1
Hey Karl you've got a red wire and a black wire - is the black wire soldered to the bottom of the chassis or is it soldered to the pot itself? Send a pic if You can.
Delaware Dave
Well soldered it back on & the pedal still doesn't work, what is a good replacement? I didn't mind the EV-5 but wished it was a little smoother for organ The EV-5 is not ideal for organ due to its short sweep (throw). Try a pedal with a longer sweep. This one costs a little more but the sweep is much longer.... link Quote 57 Hammond B3; 69 Hammond L100P; 68 Leslie 122; Kurzweil Forte7 & PC3; M-Audio Code 61; Voce V5+; Neo Vent; EV ELX112P; GSI Gemini & Burn Delaware Dave Exit93band
