Song80s
the silver lining is you won't catch C-19 at a crowded concert and you can always take a nap on the shag rug. I can think of more positives but that would be annoying Quote Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ? Stokely
Hah! The Carpet Crawlers by Genesis is coming to mind... I've only seen one big concert in the last 15 years I think...Tool on the 10,000 days tour, and they were excellent. I'd like to catch Muse, I should have a couple years ago but I balked at ticket prices. Mostly I'd prefer to catch smaller acts in smaller venues and those that don't run tracks (if any are left). Even piddly bands at my band's level (and lower) are running tracks and I see the end coming soon (for me). I was gigging every weekend pre-Covid though and had little inclination to go out and see other acts.

Marzzz
I actually never liked big concerts, even when I lived in downtown Chicago and could walk to them; that year we saw U2 (Popmart Tour) and the Stones (Steel Wheels Tour). Too expensive, and too much of a PITA to attend. Or stay up late on a Tuesday night. Enjoy much smaller venues now, fortunately (for me, anyway) all of the groups I like play small theaters or casino stages. Last "big" concert I went to, on my wife's insistence, was Bob Seger about 10-12 years ago. We had seats way up high, behind and to the left of the stage. In one sense, it was like looking over their shoulders while they played to everyone else.

David Emm
Let's see, how aged & decrepit am I....? I got to watch the "Brain Salad Surgery" concert nestled in the rafters, enveloped in smoke and watching the action through opera glasses. Then we ran to a Mickey D's and scared the staff by eating 12 burgers each. One bit of memorable fun was seeing Nektar (with LARRY FAST, no less) and Gryphon on a double bill. I also saw Larry playing on Peter Gabriel's Security tour. The opening to "San Jacinto" left skid marks on my brain, which is why I'm mentioning it decades later. Harumph. Now I feel like my grandfather, naming the make and year of every car on old TV shows. Hey Sonny, ever heard of a Taurus pedal? Quote "I want to be an intellectual, but I don't have the brainpower. Stokely
Peter Gabriel's Secret World tour was the most amazing live show I've ever seen, and it's not close. I've seen good concerts before and after that, but that was a SHOW in every sense of the word. And in a show full of mind-blowing things, the thing I remember most was Paula Cole's voice.
