Looks fantastic, Mike! I have spent the last 15 years working in a studio I built myself, and I can tell you that it is endlessly satisfying to not only have access to a dedicated studio space, but to be able to look around and know that you did all the work yourself.

Congratulations, and may you get many years of pleasure working there!

I can probably round this off now.

Life got really hectic there for a while, so I was only doing tiny bits of work with long gaps between.

Then, one day I realised it was sort of finished.

I still have the cork to lay in the store room, and the painting outside is about half done so far, but it's the wet season here now, so I don't like my chances of finishing that for a month or 2.

Here's a short video. The music is just my Forte playing one of the internal demo songs so I could get some meter action happening.

By holding down the light button on the power/lighting controller for a couple of seconds the lights go into maintenance mode where everything gets bright. Also, a bunch of lighting comes on under the desk so I can see what I'm doing with cabling and the back of the computer.

I ended up using Sonarworks for the room EQ. REW was just too clunky for my liking.

I'm quite happy with Sonarworks. I have added the VST to the control room in cubase.

Where I want quality recording I use the Presonus Studio 192 interface, but I can also record all the individual inputs from the live setup which is via an XR-18.
