Putting a Volume Governor on a cheap Casio

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

My two year-old twins love it when I bring by Reface CP into the playroom so I bought them a couple of Casio SA-77s to pound on. It"s early, but if they develop an interest that"s great.

There"s only one problem... They love to move the volume slider up and it gets overwhelming.

I want to put a physical governor on the slider and I"m looking for any suggestions on how to do that. I have attached a close-up photo of it, and the bottom fifth of the slider is enough volume for their needs (and their father"s sanity).

Thanks in advance.

Todd

Good ideas above...

I'd bet a machine screw (threaded) of the right size would engage the plastic slot just enough to "grab" and stop the slider. Just get one with a smooth head that needs an allen wrench to turn it. Good luck.

Oh, I'm a twin too by the way...........

You could solve half the issue by getting one of them a drum set. :)
