Dr Mike Metlay
Yeah, I've been looking at this for a few weeks now (I still get PR about these releases under NDA), and it looks intriguing. It seems to be filling out a form factor that Modal finds handy, and which brings it (and the ARGON8) into direct competition with what Korg is doing. Both Modals have Fatar keyboards with aftertouch and MPE support either in place (although a trifle ragged at the edges as of now) or forthcoming, and despite their being a much smaller shop than Korg, their prices are competitive even with the extras. And you can get them in 61-note versions, if that's your jam. I can't wait to hear more of what this little beastie can do. They need to get it into the hands of some great sound designers and players. I like the look, form factor and specs. Could be cool.
