Open Letter--Akai Product Request

Hopefully, this does not violate forum rules. If so, brotha dB will exercise the nuclear option.

Dear Akai,

Thanks for the products your company has brought to market. I have enjoyed the S series samplers and MPC drum machines in the past.

Now, I have a very specific product request. Please combine the standalone MPC technology with the MPK MIDI controller into a sampling keyboard.

My unit can be shipped directly to my house. Just let me know how much it's going to cost. Thanks again. :D:cool:

PD

MPCK, you heard it here first.:D

Honestly though, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Standalone unit that can control software like the new MPCs. I believe we very well could drop the old Kronos "Gamechanger" tag on that product, if they got it right. Granted, it might not be a gamechanger for this forum quite in the same way, but I think that could be a massively successful product for both live and studio work.

I heartily endorse this request. :2thu:

Thanks brotha Eric, MPCK is the name. :thu:

I agreee that some may not consider it a game-changer in a vein similar to a flagship workstation, synth, DP or clonewheel. However, for those of us who would rather have their own sound libraries, the MPCK would be awesome.

As I've tried a few KBs over the past few years, I've come to accept that I'd much rather have ten (10) sounds I'm going to use in a KB instead of thousands that either sound similar and/or I'll never play. I take my hat off to Omnisphere users.:cool:
