Song80s
I sold my FA-07 which cleared the home studio for a new keyboard. MODX8 seems like a near perfect choice to compliment my Kronos 88 Kraft Music does a sterling job, every which way. MO should arrive Saturday. Quote Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ? CEB
I"ve always been happy with them. They were originally a MIDI specialty shop in Milwaukee in the 80s. They have been doing this a long time. Quote "It doesn't have to be difficult to be cool" - Mitch Towne "A great musician can bring tears to your eyes!!! Song80s
I also believe it best to make that important purchase now vs getting stuck in the herd Nov 20- Dec 20. shippers say they have holiday like ' volume ' every month, since May. for example, 1 major shipper says their unit volume increased 2 million units in July 2020 vs July 2019. might be a Big Crunch of activity at retail Nov 20- Dec 20. IMO , the 12-18-24 month 'free ' financing is a big incentive for the big ticket purchaser. and for the retailer. Quote Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ? bennyray
Good luck with the MODX it is a great sounding keyboard and I am sure you will be satisfied. The touchscreen is more responsive than the Kronos but the workflow is way different but you are a pro so it will be a minor adjustment. Let us know how you like it Greg. ElmerJFudd
I found the piano options really great sounding and the action nicely matched. A lot of the Montage here for the $. Quote Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-
Song80s
the montage pianos are desirable. love piano. Song80s
took delivery today, and quickly got lost in performances. modx 8 screams pro. solid all round. the 88 keybed/action feels very nice. an easy transition from my kronos 88 rh3. excellent display/touch screen. I can view the details, navigate without reading glasses. I like the extra real estate on the right hand surface- Mac book is at home there. wife is also happy. she likes the xl factory shipping carton. she won't need to buy me a casket- I can fit in the shipping carton as they say, happy wife, happy after life Quote Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ? ElmerJFudd
That"s a fair comparison. I think the RH3 has a similar feel maybe a marginally heavier throw. The sounds are really outstanding. From that perspective alone the AWM2 stuff from the Montage is worth the price of admission here and the FM-X synth just means icing on the cake.
