Hummingbirds

Recommended Posts

They're my favorite. So small, delicate, beautiful and fast. Both of these are with a Canon 80D, Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens at about 430mm. 1/250th, f/9, ISO1600. In both cases flashes are used to freeze the wings but the amount of ambient light is still showing some motion.

I used to do custom Type R (positive to positive) printing and once a year the local camera club would start showing up with hummingbird images.

i've printed quite a few of them.

I don't recall ever printing any that looked as nice as the ones above, kudos!!!!!!

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

Another from yesterday, probably exactly the same bird below. I haven't been able to get a good one of the male yet. Still trying.
