skipclone 1
Is anyone familiar with these guys? I ran across a reference on Rick Beato's YT channel. They're from Australia-I hear a lot of Dream Theater but with a lot more guitar. Dannyalcatraz
I"ve heard OF them before, but never sought them out for a listen. So if nothing else, thanks for posting the link! Watching it now, I have to say I like it better than DT"s most recent efforts. Quote Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a. skipclone 1
I had the same feeling-DT can get too self-consciously 'chamber rock' for me. Danzilla
Not super familiar with Plini, but I had heard of them before. I get some of the Dream Theater comparisons. If you like Plini, check out Southern Empire. My first thought was Dream Theater with a good vocalist, and songwriting assistance from Glass Hammer. Dannyalcatraz
Southern Empire sounds pretty decent! Quote Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a. skipclone 1
Ya, I like the variety of instrumentation and backing vocals. I have no major problems with James LaBrie's (DT) singing. I don't think this guy has his range but his pronunciation/diction is clearer. More musically accessible than DT overall. Dannyalcatraz
LaBrie has been grating in me more and more over the years, and The Amazing...well...wasn"t. Quote Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a.
