Joe P
I guess he was out riding his motor cycle, saw it and stopped. Doesn't want to see it go to waste! (Edit: couldn't get embed to play)
ElmerJFudd
It is a total shame these pianos from decades past wind up in the landfill. Can"t even donate them. Quote Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-

MathOfInsects
He could not be any more from LI. That whole scene, with the, "Nice action, just needs to be tuned," is so completely NY. How was he ever famous? I mean I know now, but....now, how? That clip is gold. Quote Now out! miden
I'm not sure that IS Billy Joel....if it was, I reckon the camera would be far better than that and there'd be more "vibe" about it...it looks more like someone trying to be BJ to create a hoax video - even the voice sounded wrong Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Joe Muscara
Yeah, we all sound like that around dere, even if we've been away for a while and go back to visit. Voice is right, glimpse of his face is right, playing is right, he's a biker... I hope someone grabbed that piano. In fact, with that video, someone would pay money for that piano, because it's the one Billy Joel played in that video. Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
SamuelBLupowitz
As someone who has watched a lot of Billy Joel concerts and interviews, I didn"t doubt that was him for a second. He"s known to show up at random in non-celebrity situations, sort of like Bill Murray but not as comfortable with the fact that he"s an eccentric famous person. He"s always wanted people to see him as One of Them like Springsteen. Quote Samuel B. Lupowitz Musician. Songwriter. Food Enthusiast. Bad Pun Aficionado. pinkfloydcramer
It's hard NOT to play ragtime on a piano detuned like that. Trying to cop that nifty ending.
Marzzz
As a native LIer, a) he is definitely a LIer, and b) that is definitely Billy Joel. But I thought he had gotten his weight down recently?
