Dr Mike Metlay Posted July 6, 2020 Share Posted July 6, 2020 I interviewed Barry De Vorzon, who wrote this piece, and he walked me through the piece's long and storied history. It started as a simple movie cue for the film Bless The Beasts And Children, then got discovered in a sound library by someone scoring live telecasts of the Olympics and used it for Nadia Comenici's performances, and somewhere in there it got discovered AGAIN and used for Y&R. Simple, beautiful piece, and timeless. Have fun learning it, Paul! His story of how the Theme From S.W.A.T. came about is even cooler (and much funnier).
