Mike Martin
If there has been another thread about this site, I must have missed it but either way it is worthy of another mention. Pianobook is a site created by Christian Henson of Spitfire audio. He proclaims that after your computer and basic DAW platform of choice the #1 thing you need to do as a composer is not sample libraries but microphones to learn to record and create your own unique instruments. He's done a number of videos which outline the process of sampling and building instruments in EXS or Kontakt and then he's built the site Pianobook to host all the instruments that his community has created. Last I looked there are over 300 instruments - the majority are pianos but there are all kinds of things there some of which are rather incredible. He's done several videos which explain the process of creating your own instruments including this new one just a few days ago.
