Process is important in that there are infinite variables attainable.
Since guesses are probably not forthcoming, I will share.
Signal path in was identical for both instruments and all 5 takes.
Guitar cord to Whirlwind IMP 2 DI box. Mic output to input on interface, that is the normal channel.
1/4" TS out to a Dunlop Cry Baby Bass pedal, then to a DI on the interface, that is the effects channel - all options are open.
Each take has 2 tracks, one "normal" and the other whatever is in the effects chain. In this case just wah. Total 10 tracks.
Bass guitar, playing an open low B note only. Plus wah.
Converted/perverted Framus 8 string lap steel guitar, using a Shubb lap steel bar and an E-Bow.
4 octaves of just B, with tonal variations as heard. Plus wah.
No other effects, one plugin on output.
Super simple, 100% analog instruments.
I could mix the bejeezuss out of it but that is a rabbit hole I chose to ignore.
I adjusted individual volumes and panning and left it.
Just in case anybody thought it was something fancy...
