NewImprov
Giorgi Mikadze: Georgian Microjamz, newly out on RareNoise. Imagine Mahavishnu Orchestra jamming with the Bulgarian Women's Choir. The microtonal tunings seem really shocking on first listen, but by the end of the album seem almost normal. About half of my muso friends that I've played this for have absolutely hated it, so I'm not expecting a much better response here, but I'm loving this. Docbop
Been watching the Keith Jarrett 100th Solo Concert in Japan DVD, the guy really is amazing the control he has over each finger. I wonder if I can get sample of Keith's "swarm of angry bees" vocalizing he does when he plays and layer it with my piano sound. LOL
