Unbelievable. After decades trying to get away from Tracker software, now we're building it into hardware. grin

On another forum, I commented that I tried to pay attention to the MIDI section of the review but still was unclear on its capabilities as a MIDI sequencer. The responses:

Quote
On MIDI out, you are limited to having only 5 MIDI CC values, of your choosing.

Yep - and that’s a global (!!) project limit. So only 5 different CCs in total for all your MIDI channels / all devices connected.

The other big MIDI shortcoming that Loopop points out is with MIDI input. As Loopop says, “… unfortunately you can’t control instrument parameters, or any other parameter, with MIDI CC; at least not with the current version of the firmware.”

The only tracker with which I have even the slightest experience is SunVox, mostly on IOS devices. One nice thing about SunVox is you don't have to set a specific number of steps if you record MIDI in realtime from a keyboard or something - it will automatically adjust the pattern length until you press Stop.
