Sam CA
After 6 LONG months, It's finally done. It's pretty much an all in one writing, recording and rehearsing man cave. Having a sound-proof and creative space was my priority, and I think I was able to achieve that goal pretty well. Most of my audio gears will stay in the bedroom. I'll only bring in stuff that I really need. I hired out only for electrical and AC installation. Everything else was done by my amazing uncle whom I'm forever grateful to.... . I did the research and followed his instructions with my sissy hands like he calls it. The internal space is about 18' x 19' or so (with ceiling peaking at 13') which is the biggest size I was allowed. It's a room within a room structure with double studded walls, double thick drywall, soundboard and cavity insulation and so on and so forth. I'm not going to miss working with silicone tubes for sure! Quote www.youtube.com/c/InTheMixReviews
KuruPrionz
That is awesome!!! Congratulations to you (and your uncle!!!). I have a decent little home studio in my living room, it does not compare at all but I can still be creative which is important. Maybe post in this thread? https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/3026827/lets-see-your-studios#Post3026827 Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is. KuruPrionz
This is still a great place for it, with the link added it will drive traffic to the new forum. This is the busiest forum which is great but it would be nice to see some of the other forums pick up traffic, interesting things are happening! danstein
Wow, great work! Beautiful-looking space, may congrats to you and props to both you and your uncle for pulling that off. Doing it in 6 months is impressive, too - having built my own studio, more-or-less single-handed, I know how much work is involved. Enjoy it! On YouTube I see these latino workers lifting drywalls like a piece of paper...then hold it with one hand and putting screws with the other!!! I bought one of those drywall lifters instead. That's also what we used to hold drywall against the ceiling. Highly recommended! Quote www.youtube.com/c/InTheMixReviews
