yamahaahamay
Hi folks, I got a CP88 recently. I needed a bag in a hurry, so I got one of the cheap Gator bags, which is too big and generally a bit too flimsy. I'm looking to replace it with something a little sturdier, but not a case. Yamaha makes their own bag, the YSCCP88, which goes for 249 USD on Sweetwater. I'm also looking at the Gator G-PG-88, which seems comparable, and a little bit cheaper. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks.
Mighty Motif Max
I don't have much experience with the bag-type cases though I like my Gator Slimline for my Krome (maybe not for something as heavy as a CP88 though). My XF8 sits in a hardshell YCMOTIF8 case, which is bulky, weighs 35 lbs, but has wheels; I'm not concerned about the keyboard ever getting damaged, but it cost about $400 and like I said can be a pain for frequent gigging as all that weight is added to your board. It's made well though. Probably irrelevant since you're looking for a "bag"-type case. RandyFF
I recently bought a Gator Pro-Go PG-61 for less than $200. Your keyboard weighs 15-17 pounds more than mine so I'm not sure if it's up for the job. I specifically was looking for something that didn't add 15-20 pounds. Mine only weighs 10 pounds, but the case does not feel flimsy to me. I got the one with backpack straps for stairs. Outkaster
That proprietary case is more than worth it. I love it as I bought a CP88 a couple months ago. Quote "Danny, ci manchi a tutti.
