Dr Mike Metlay
It will be interesting to see where Zhao Yitian takes this technology. While I do think they plan to sell a buttload of these dongles, the real goal here is to show how WIDI works to a wide audience so that it can be sold as OEM tech for other companies. Ideally, Mr. Zhao would like to see WIDI built into other synthesizers so you don't need a dongle at all. The same is true of CME's ReClouder technology. Virgin Musical Instruments in the USA, the CME distributor, is now overseeing production and sales of the Xkey lineup so CME can focus on these OEM technologies. EscapeRocks
Very Interesting! I always thought their CME WIDI devices were excellent. Less expensive than the MidiJet Pro as well. Hopefully this new concept is just as good. Quote David Gig Rig:Casio Privia PX-5S | Yamaha MODX+ 6 | MacBook Pro 14" M1| Mainstage
MPN21
I agree. I still have my CME WIDI x8. It works great. It was around $200 brand new. More versatile than the MIDIJet Pro, too.
