Michael Pedulla is retiring and closing his company.

Some of the finest glossy fret less boards this hack has ever touched, and they were boutique before it was really a thing except for alembic and the like.

"For instance" is not proof.

Dang. They were always on my wish list (unlike a Wishbass). Mark Egan was my first introduction to them; when I saw him in October, oddly enough he was playing a fretted Pedula.

Well, Thanks for making such beautiful instruments, Michael. You deserve a happy retirement.

(And thanks for not just selling the company to someone who will take the name and then have all of them made as cheap overseas models.)

Even though I have likely permanently sworn off of active basses, the brands that gave me pause to reconsider that decision, were Fedora, F-Bass, and Pedulla. They will be missed.

Whoa. Funny, I kind of had a premonition about this. Love my Pedulla Rapture J2-5.

Agreed, although it would have been great if he could have sold the business to someone who wanted to continue his work. But Michael's been dialing back the business for quite awhile, so I'm not surprised that he decided just to call it quits.
