Almost everything, necessary for musically useful results, already exists. Unique as don't copy the UI, or exactly the specs of some other synth. Not reinvent the technology. A Yamaha piano is unique compared to a Kawaii, Bosendorfer etc. Yet all these have a soundboard, strings, hammers keys etc. And they don't sound exactly the same either.
