OT: Most Inspiring Planet for your Keyboard

Recommended Posts

This is not an easy choice as I find most of the planets to be inspiring.

Earth is ok for keyboards, I suppose.

I am curious about Venus. Its shrouded with dense clouds, mysterious.

My hunch is there are millions of women playing keyboards on Venus.

I haven't figured out how to get them to post here ;)

Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ?

The role of the planets was discussed in the Simpsons episode EL VIAJE MISTERIOSO DE NUESTRO JOMER (THE MYSTERIOUS VOYAGE OF HOMER)

Homer: 'It's like you're from Venus ..."

Marge: "And you're from Mars."

Homer: "Oh, sure, give me the one with all the monsters."

Ha ha, you're daft. Lead melts at about 700 degrees F, so if the surface of Venus is 860, that would naturally cause most synths to pretty much vaporize. Never mind what that would do to the unfortunate women you imagine. It also stands to reason that in that heat, the acoustics would be pure sh*t.

When I first glanced at the title I read it as: " Most Inspiring Pianet for your Keyboard", thinking it was meant to be a discussion of electro-mechanical piano sample sets. Which actually would have made more sense... Or perhaps I'm the sober on this particular planet, today?

I did not know of Rick's travels. Will email him and report back. ;)

I can't speak for Rick, but apparently Jordan Rudess prefers the Klingon home world. He bought a great keytar there:

There women don't do much for me.

I prefer Vulcan women. Have a poker face and Kind of hot ;) Not much emotion for sure.

LOL

An 11 on " clever parody of parody topic '

When I first glanced at the title I read it as: " Most Inspiring Pianet for your Keyboard", thinking it was meant to be a discussion of electro-mechanical piano sample sets.

I read it that way at first glance too! Was thinking either GregC had a sticky caps key or It was time to change my contact lenses.

Saturn, of course! C'mon guys, I'm a bit disappointed it takes this long for a Sun Ra reference in a keyboards forum.

...and BTW, I love my Pianet T with the Sticky Pads mod.

I know ! Its an outrage of disappointment

And what bugs me is that no one has brought up

Paul McCartney & Wings - Venus & Mars.

despite what 1 poster said, Mr and Mrs McCartney were not fearful of Venus ! Or Mars.

for me, thats a good thing. I am often opposed to push up bras in case Lursa needs my opinion.

Easy to overlook that this is a ' family forum ' ;)
