Vintage noiseless pickups are down from $199. to $169. Now to $139. SW, GC, and MF are all sold, but have them on order. I think Fender may be fazing them out, decided not wait any longer.

Congrats!

For future reference, though, there are other makers who offer such pickups. Options are always good to have.

Yes, some of those would be pricier, but you rarely want to make purchases based primarily on rarity/availability.

I have Fender Vintage noiseless pickups in my Agile Strat Clone, I like them, I get very decent sound out of them. Good choice.

I have them in my Deluxe Player. I've been wanting to put them in my Squier, but not at $199. I don't use the Squier except as a backup, so I don't want to put to much in it. I'd like to change the neck but not for $299. I don't think the guitar cost that much.

A well-made guitar is a well-made guitar, regardless of price. There used to be a bluesman in the French Quarters whose #1 was a Squier and the amp it came with. That cheap guitar and amp put a roof over his head and bought him gear most of us could only drool over.

So if your cheap little Squier is actually a hidden gem, it will ALWAYS be worth maintaining and/or upgrading.

These have very strong magnets, be careful when adjusting the pickup heights. If you get them too close to the strings you will experience intonation problems that cannot be overcome.
As long as you don't raise them too close to the strings they should be great. They are nice sounding pickups and very low noise.

There is never enough time to be in a hurry...

Good choice Surfer Girl. I have Fender Hot Noiseless Pickups on my American Standard Strat. Great tones in all 5 positions.
