I had no idea the MemoryMoog was marketed to religious institutions as the Sanctuary. Perhaps there are some gathering dust in church storage rooms that could be had for a nominal donation. It looks like Sequential may have also marketed to churches with the False Prophet 5.

So Real MC, do you like the Moog One?
I dialed up one of my "acid test" patches - and it passed.
Tom Sawyer??

Heh...

Actually a choir patch. Good way to test the resonant quality of the filter(s). Also is a good test for low level modulation depth, which some synths can't do!

The One had a big edge... an ensemble effect that is configurable. That goes a long way. Moog put all the right effects in this thing that an analog synth would need.

Interesting! As an owner of a (fully functional? It helps to be an EE!) Memory Moog I would have thought you would be a bit less enthusiastic about the One. Personally, I am interested, but have not been impressed with my few moments playing it. Plus I am waiting for their "roadmap" to get to my neighborhood...!

Over the course of my life I have had flight time with just about every Moog synthesizer model. I spent a couple of years compiling this comparison of them, both vintage and modern.
