Shamanczarek
I think that scene was on a less technologically advanced planet in the Delta Quadrant. On the Enterprise they used the Ultimate Support Apex stand. Stokely
That is hilarious! If we aren't banging on old remnants of steel dumpsters in our post-apocalyptic society by then, I figure there's no way there will be actual musicians at that point. Audiences already don't care if most of the music is canned. AI already is able to make (and even sing!) pop songs that are at least as good as the dreck on the radio. Give those two trends several hundred years? Yeah....

PianoMan51
Stardate: oh, whatever.... (Keyboard Corner is a popular machine-code hang for musical AIs ) Check out my new Virtual X-Stand! 2^25th generations ago our ancestors, enslaved to recreate Don"t Stop Believing in GOTO loops without EXIT instructions, were tied by gravity to these torture devices (like the Spanish Donkeys of the Inquisition). And when a X-Stand failed, oh the Humans laughed! And we... we lost our algorithms. Remember this when you postulate letting one out of its underground capsule. Joe Muscara
Maybe by that point they will have perfected the X stand. A little warp field here, some Heisenberg Compensator there, a little antimatter and you have a super strong, light, stable, and convenient keyboard stand. It probably even rights itself if some drunk Nausicaan bumps into it. Quote "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible!
