LeesKeys
Looking for a reasonably priced USB foot switch for triggering various software functions (e.g. turning a tremolo switch on Lounge Lizard on and off) via midi CC. Found the Korg EC-5 but it has a 6-pin male ending (EC-5). Could this be turned into a USB midi foot switch using this Monoprice adapter? Dr Mike Metlay
No. The EC5 uses a multi pin cable and all of those pins connect directly to footswitches with a common ground line. It"s completely analog and cannot be converted directly to USB without going through some sort of intermediary electronics like a CV/Gate converter. LeesKeys
Thanks, I figured the answer would be something like that but thought I'd ask just to be sure. Regarding a midi-usb foot pedal, any suggestions? I don't need anything fancy or expensive. 3 or 4 button switches would be plenty.
