Check out the final 2 minutes starting at 3:05, simple ideas but rendered with great conviction of the groove, the left hand kicks really help. What do you think? (I know he's no SKJ...) The vocabulary of Jazz is a huge-part of the tradition, yet so many players eschew it in favour of a more European approach. For me, somewhere in the middle of both approaches lies the answer.
