Geoff Grace
As most of you know, the 2020 Winter NAMM Show will begin Thursday, January 16th at the Anaheim Convention Center, and run through Sunday, the 19th. Like last year, there are three threads: 1) an advance thread for rumors, speculation, wish lists, and early product announcements, or "NAMMticipation" as I like to call it, 2) an advance thread for planning: how to get passes, when and where to meet up with other forum members, etc., and 3) the traditional NAMM Reports thread for product announcements, videos, and reports from members on what and who they saw at the Convention Center. This, of course, is the planning thread. Please post any Winter NAMM 2020 plans you'd like to make or questions you have about passes or lodging here. nursers
I believe I have a pass sorted but just wanted to post how excited I am to be potentially be at NAMM for the first time. IT's at about 80% likelihood I'll be in LA to coincide with the dates so very much looking forward to catching up with some people. PianoManChuck
I actually booked my hotel last month! Hotels get pricier as the show date approaches, and if you wait too long then you won't find anything! Joe Muscara
What's up with the plans? Who's going? Any good hangs? See here, though it looks like all the seats are taken. However, it will probably migrate after dinner somewhere. Also, many of us who are going have posted in that thread so it will give you an idea of who to look for. zephonic
Friendly advice for those visiting SoCal for the first time: while the weather has been nice and sunny, temps drop quickly when it gets dark. Next week they expect 46F (8 Celsius) after sunset. Bring a warm jacket or fleece, you're gonna need it. Quote gear list.pdf

It's actually colder in Southern California (60s) than it is on the East Coast (70s) right now!
