Viscount Organ > Radial DI happiness > DXR10

Hi all,

I know many users have noticed the output level on the Legend organ to be on the low side. This has led me on a merry chase from time to time - I won't bore you with the details, but I have a very good solution for it that sounds great!

I use a Stereo Radial JDI Direct Box which converts the line level signal to Mic level, and then send this to twin Yamaha DXR10s with their inputs set to accept a Mic level signal.

As there's no impedance issues, the sound is great and the Jensen transformer adds a little magic along the way. It's a fabulous tone - band members and audience commented about it unprompted. I also use the DXRs stacked - they sit very stably one on top of the other. One is a Mk1, the other a Mk2 - I put the Mk2 on top as it is a little more hifi sounding.

There's plenty of volume - I don't have to play as loudly as when the speakers are on the floor as wedges and it seems to broadcast to the room well also, given the audience comments.

I have a JDI Duplex in my boxxatrixxa for every gig. It's never let me down. Sounds great, completely reliable, and if I'm attacked by a charging muskox during load-out, I can stun it with one swing.
